HackyWorld (“we”, “us”) runs hackyworld.com: cybersecurity courses and live classes, and mock test software that academies rent for their students. This page explains which personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, e-mail address, password (stored only as an encrypted hash) and, if you give it, your mobile number.
• Sign in with Google: if you choose it, Google shares your name, e-mail address and a Google account ID with us. We never see your Google password.
• Learning data: courses you join, lectures watched, certificates and messages in live-class chat.
• Payments: processed by Razorpay. We keep the order and payment reference and the amount; we never receive or store card, UPI PIN or bank details.
• Messages and enquiries you send through our contact and demo forms.
• Security data: IP address and time of sign-in attempts, used to block password guessing; these records are deleted after about one day.

2. Mock test portals of academies

Academies that rent our mock test software create their students' accounts and tests. For that data the academy decides what is collected and why; HackyWorld only stores and processes it to run the service for the academy. Each academy sees only its own students. Students should contact their academy for questions about their data.

3. How we use your data

• To create and secure your account, including the verification code we e-mail when you sign up.
• To give you access to courses, live classes, tests, results and certificates.
• To process payments and send receipts and important account e-mails (password reset, verification codes).
• To answer your messages and improve our courses and software.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Sharing

We share data only with services that help us run the website – hosting (Hostinger), payments (Razorpay), e-mail delivery and, if you use it, Google sign-in – and only as far as they need it, or when the law requires it.

5. Cookies

We use one sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in and remembers your light or dark theme setting in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Security and storage

The site runs only over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, admin accounts are protected with two-step sign-in, and every academy's data is kept separate. We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request, except records we must keep by law (for example payment records).

7. Your choices

You can see and correct your details in your dashboard, and ask us to delete your account or send you a copy of your data by writing to info@hackyworld.com. We reply within 7 working days.

8. Children

Our courses are meant for learners aged 13 and above. Students under 18 should use the website with the consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page.
